You’re sitting with your loved one at home.  They have just passed.  You reflect on all the wonderful things you have done together.  How you have always been there for each other.  How you can be there for them now.  A few friends join you in silent reflection.  A friend brings in a bowl of scented water, wash cloths and clothes.  Another friend brings in silks and quilts.  Someone lights a scented candle. You tenderly wash and dress your loved one.  You place them on a bed or table surrounded by silks, flowers and personal items.  Family and friends arrive to sit with them, reflect, share stories and comfort you.  After a few hours or a few days, you are ready to say good-by.  You place your loved one in the casket that you, your family, your friends have decorated and you drive them to the crematory or cemetery for their final rest. 

In the comfort of your own home, you have given your loved one the care and respect they deserve.
